Some interesting facts about me —
👋🏼 HI THERE —
I’m Lauren, a UX/UI Designer located in South Lake Tahoe, California. After graduating with my BFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art & Design, I made my way out west where I have been working as a designer for over a decade.
I am currently working as a contractor with clients, leading end-to-end UX/UI projects for startups, booking platforms and e-commerce brands. My primary focus is creating functional and aesthetically pleasing products that solve every day problems, enhance people’s lives and deliver exceptional business results.
In addition to design, I have worked as a UX Consultant, Marketing Director, E-commerce Manager, Copywriter and Content Curator for a variety of companies from start-ups to established corporations.
Professional life
A passionate and dedicated designer with 12 years of combined experience in Graphic Design, Brand Development and UX/UI Design. Fluent in Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC with proficient skills in HTML and CSS.
I pride myself in my strong work ethic, fervent attention to detail and determination to help companies deliver the best experiences. In addition to my experience and personal qualities, I have a solid educational foundation and a passion for design, constantly keeping a finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and UX trends across all platforms.
I enjoy working closely with stakeholders and crafting effective solutions with my teammates in a collaborative environment in order to achieve the overall vision of the company and create enjoyable user experiences. I thrive when challenged and welcome any opportunity to expand my knowledge, skills and abilities in the creative world each day.
Personal life
When I am not at my computer, you can find me trekking through Tahoe’s more remote trails, unleashing my culinary creativity in the kitchen (my husband swears my food is good 👩🏼🍳) or curled up in my hammock with a murder mystery in my hand.
I have a passion for traveling, learning languages, and discovering new cultures, cuisine and traditions. Whether admiring unfamiliar landscapes or navigating busy city streets, I love the thrill of exploration and the opportunity to broaden my perspectives and gain inspiration from others.
As a former collegiate and professional athlete, I’ve learned to embrace the post-sport playing life by remaining active. I enjoy running, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, golfing and, to my knees’ surprise, I still play soccer.
I'm also quite the cruciverbalist (which is just a fancy word I found for someone who does a lot of crossword puzzles), a canine caregiver to two perfect pups, a self-proclaimed comedian and a die-hard hockey fan.
